stratford upon avon

mr erickson had a rare friday off two weeks ago. we were expecting guests to arrive early friday morning, but they had some complications and we found a free day to ourselves!
we decided to head over to the birthplace of William Shakespeare, stratford upon avon. oh my goodness it was such a cute little village. filled with statues from mr shakespeare's writing and you get to see his actual birthplace. i think every village we visit is my favorite. we are loving england.
we stopped in warwick on the way. loved the slanted buildings and the quaint shops.

we can't get away from pizza. not that we want to. hole in the wall was fantastic.

we also stopped at ikea on the way home. we can't get away from there, either.

clay next to the sea.

mr erickson was gone for a week at the beginning of the month, as know if you read the last post. (he didn't ground me from the car, btw).
we decided to take a day trip up the coast so we could play catch up. we started out at walkers- a little pit stop/snack bar on the way to base. when the weather is nice it's always packed and i needed to see what the fuss was about. j got a sandwich, i got a brownie. we had our own diet coke so we were set.

in january, there was a fatal helicopter crash with people from our base that ended at this beach. mr erickson spent a week at the site with the environmental department cleaning up. i can't imagine what those four families went [and are going] through. we walked to the site and around the beach.

the village was adorable. the perfect little beach town.

i mean this bed and breakfast? come onnnnnn.
