italy: pisa

we took a quick day trip over to see the tower of pisa. the town it self isn't much so an afternoon was perfect. so fun to see it in real life!

 we don't do the proper pisa photos well.... but i like them more this way.

italy: firenze

the next stop was florence- filled with the usual... gelato and heat! i thought florence had a bit more of a relaxed feel to it, even though it was no less crowded than anywhere else...

 we did some more hiking in my trusting hiking boots aka: flats.... and again, the view was worth it. 

we stood in line for two hours to see the david and again... completely worth it. it's absolutely stunning.
