like the other bank holidays, we had a three day weekend for memorial day. we took advantage of the time and left for the lake district. we were kicking ourselves the whole time wondering why we took so long to go visit! it quickly became one of our favorite places in england. the people were so kind and chatty and there was something beautiful around every corner!
we then made it back to cambridge for a memorial ceremony held at the american british cemetery. it was very humbling to witness.
