when we moved over to the uk i made a little bucket list of things i wanted to see. it wasn't a huge list, things like the matterhorn, juliette's house, kiss the blarney stone... we slowly ticked off everything on my list. well last weekend i got to tick off the very last thing.... the berlin wall. we did a quick weekend trip to the city. it was very humbling to see the wall and visit museums about the WWII and the cold war. it made me feel very grateful to grow up where i did.
Your photographs are amazing! Our family visited Berlin with our son's scout troop the day they removed Checkpoint Charlie and took down the wall. We got to pummel the wall with a sledgehammer and take home pieces...This post brings back all those memories! Gail at Making Life An Art
